Canadian Alpine Ski Team Member Links

Listed below are links to the personal Web sites of members of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team (CAST).  Please follow the fortunes of our national team members and never pass up an opportunity to show your support for their efforts.

The Canadian team enjoys few opportunities to race downhill in Canada but, when they do, the Whistler Weasel Workers have worked to provide them with the best possible course and racing conditions.  We support and encourage our National team!

Please watch for our Whistler Weasel Worker coverage of the CAST, brought to you by people with special connections with team members and a unique insight into team activities.

And Alumnus

Nancy Greene at Sun PeaksNancy Greene Raine  - Nancy Greene was Canada's top ski racer through the 1960's, winning gold and silver medals at the 1968 Grenoble Olympics and overall World Cup titles in 1967 and 68. Her total of 13 World Cup victories is still a Canadian record. She won 17 Canadian Championship titles in all disciplines.    Nancy has left us all a marvellous legacy in the Nancy Greene Ski League , which was conceived during the winter of 1968. Nancy Greene's World Cup victory the previous spring had inspired hundreds of youngsters to want to start ski racing, but there was no easy way to get started. The NGSL was the solution - an introduction to ski racing in a team format. Nancy agreed to be the Honourary Chairman, a position she still holds.  A number of Whislter Weasel Workers started their volunteering as coaches and organizers in the early days of the Nancy Greene Leauge Program at  Whislter.
