Crew Info
Using back-pack style pressure sprayers, the "Dye Crew" applies a ribbon of coloured vegetable dye along each side of the racecourse to guide racers down the track. The Dye Crew will also "cross-hatch" parts of the course where there is a sudden change in ptich and where shade may render the surface of the snow difficult to see for the racers.
Dye Crew members need to be strong skiers. This is a "race day" activity. Durring the setup period, Dye Crew members participate in all of the usual Course Crew activities.
