Volunteer Dinner
The Volley Party is put on at the end of the Races as a celebration of a job well done. The party is intended to thank our volunteers and to show our appreciation and admiration for the hard work and good fellowship of the people who make it all possible.
The Volunteer Dinner is pulled together by volunteers who plan and organize the event, including setup and decorating the venue, food preparation, such as cooking multiple premium beef roasts, kitchen prep, greeters at the door, bartender’s for our beverages, prize distribution, and the all important tear down and cleanup of hall.
A very big part of the Volunteer Dinner is the gathering of door and raffle prizes, of which there are usually many. Some crew members spend many happy hours "hitting up" sponsors and collecting donated gifts. As much of this is done in Vancouver, as in Whistler. This takes a very special gift and interest. If you can help us with this, please let us know.
If you are interested in helping with the party let us know during Registration.
It's a great evening and the food never stops. At the right, TD, Colin Pitt-Taylor and Howie Goldsmid do the honours. The roasts are cooked all over the valley. It's all 'down-home' cookin'.
