2012 FIS J1 Nationals at Whistler

The J1 Nationals are scheduled for March 7 - 11 which is just a little more than 2 months from now.  The registration site is now set up at surveymonkey.com/weaselworkers and we are looking forward to a large turnout.  We need your help to set up a great track and provide a high quality Whistler Weasel Worker venue for another group of developing athletes. They are counting on us.

The event will be held on the new legacy track located in the Raven/Ptarmigan area.   Currently the schedule is:

  • March 3 & 4 - Setup
  • March 7 - Setup
  • March 8 - Mens SG  (Another SG might be added)
  • March 9 - Ladies SG (Another SG might be added)
  • March 10 - Mens GS/Ladies SL
  • March 11 - Ladies GS/Mens SL

For those of you interested in the "perk package" all race volunteers will have access to our daily social event / beverage consumption facility / Weasel House / Beer Tent.  The tent will be located in the parking lot of the Whistler Mountain Ski Club. Same location as last year.  On March 10th we will have a volunteer party & supper. Those with four or more days effort will receive a blue & black Halti shirt with the Whistler Weasel Worker, Alpine Canada and Whistler Mountain Ski Club logo.

Unfortunately, our race budget does not allow us to provide accommodation for out of town volunteers.  Sorry!  If you are interested in coming it might be best to touch base with your Whistler based friends from 2010.
