Weasel House will be a private hospitality center open to all the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Alpine Skiing race volunteers. In Weasel House, local volunteer race workers will welcome and host fellow volunteer race workers from around the world. The camaraderie and fellowship that has sustained Whistler's Weasel Workers for 40 years will be shared with all. In Weasel House, race workers will come to feel part of an international fraternity, to share information and acquire new knowledge. Weasel House will help unite a disparate group of race workers into a cohesive team. Weasel House is much more than just a social gathering. It recognizes and celebrates ski race volunteers everywhere and the contribution they make at all levels of ski racing. From local club racers to the National team , volunteer race workers are big part of the engine that nurtures our athletes. One of our Canadian Cowboys, Manuel Osborne-Paradis states: "Without them, we wouldn't have World Cups. They do everything, right from cutting down the branches on the trees and making mulch. They take their vacation time and help us out and they're probably working twice as hard as when they're getting paid. It's a big job and they love doing it and they work for free beer, for the atmosphere and to have all their buddies around." Please join us in welcoming the 2010 alpine race workers to Whistler and in encouraging them to help build the next generation of athletes. By purchasing our Weasel Wear, a Keg O’ Beer or a Corporate Sponsorship, you will help make Weasel House a success. We need your support. Whether or not you are a skier, please become part of our Weasel House race worker support team. We offer a number of options by which sponsors may make their support known and we will provide all sponsors with a personalized record of their sponsorship of Weasel House. Corporate Sponsors will be well represented in Weasel House, with an opportunity to present themselves to approximately 1400 of the best ski race workers from across the skiing world.
