The Whistler Weasel Workers are strong supporters of  the Canadian Alpine Ski Team . We labour long hours, in all kinds of  weather, to provide our athletes with the best possible training and race courses.  We salute the team's dedication, perseverence and hard work.  We wish them well and we look forward to welcoming them back to Whistler.

Our Kids are on fire!  Go Canada!  

March 12 - It's a wrap!  With the Bormio DH cancelled, the WC  DH season has ended with Britt Janyk 3rd overall, Kelly VanderBeek 5th overall and Emily Brydon 10th overall.   On the Men's side, Manny O-P finished 6th overall , Eric Guay, 12th, Jan Hudec 13th and John Kucdera ended up 17th overall.  Amazing results, especially for Jan who lost half the season with a blown knee.  Well done, all!  There has never been a year like this.

Mar 2 - Robbie Dixon does it again!  With a  career best 4th in GS at Kvitfjell, Robbie has shown that his  Kitzbuehel result was no accident.  

The Kvitfjell GS results have expanded our list of top 9 finished to over 40 ..... count em!    When did the CAST have a year like this?  

Our ladies need another opportunity to train and race on the Franz's downhill track before 2010.  Let's help them develop a "home hill" advantage.  They are poised to strike in 2010, but they need all the help they can get.

Feb 24 - Emily Brydon  cappes off the Telus Whistler World Cup with a 10th place finish in the  Ladies Super Combined.    Emily  raised great hopes with a strong third in the SG leg of the Combined, but dropped back in the Slalom.   Britt Janyk  was 7th in the SG, but did not compete in the slalom

Feb 15 - Anna Goodman  scores a career best with a 19th finish in in a slalom race in Zagreb, CRO.  After placing 30th in the first run, Anna's second run was the 16th fastest of the day.  Anna's on her way!

Feb 3 -  Emily Brydon gets  career first  World Cup win.  Emily is only the 5th Canadian women to win gold in SG.

Jan 18 - Starting  with bib 43,  BC's Robbie Dixon smoked the Kitzbuehel SG course to finish 6th, a career best.  With over a dozen  members caulking up two dozen 9th or better finishes, so far this year, it's fair to say this team has depth.

Jan 20 - Paul Stutz celebrates a career best with a 7th place in the Kitzbuehel DH/SL Combined (CM).    Another new name on our  Top 9 list.

Feb  9  -  John Kucera (1) , Erik Guay (2),  Mannt Osborne-Paradis (3) , Robbie Dixon (4),  Jeffery Frisch (5)  lead the field in the Pontiac GMC Canadian Championships, the first races run on  Whistler`s new Ladies Olympic Downhill Course.

Come and support your Canadian Alpine Ski Team in Whistler in February.  Watch the best ski racing in the World.

Looks like Jan is out for the season - torn knee ligaments.  We wish him a speedy recovery!

Check out the list at the left...........  over 30 top 9 finishes!    There has never been a year like this.   In late February, some of our boys and girls will be racing  on their `home hill` in front of family and life-long friends and supporters.  They will be pumped!  Come and  support your  alpine ski team.
