Report on the 2007 Turkey Swap

The 2007 Turkey Swap is now history.
Peter Allan organized a prime location for our Weasel booth, very close to the entrance to the WMSC Ski Swap tent, on the passageway to the ski swap area.
Gary Taylor and Century Signs provided a great sign that will give many years of service and
Ken Hicks produced a large monitor and kept us in Weasel video all weekend. Gary's poster and Ken's video provided a great backdrop for the efforts of our small crew of booth-minders.
Thanks to Richard Auer, Peter Allan, Tess Evans, Lockie Brown, Glenn and Carol Bayliss , Andre Janyk, John Townsend, John Benbow , John Dunlop, Bethany Saunders (VANOC), Chuck Ikona and Ed Jones for taking time out from family and turkey to spend a few hours pumping flesh and hustling new volunteers. Particular thanks to those who put in mulitple shifts. I apologize if I've missed anyone. Please advise and I will make amends.
We talked to a lot of people, and handed out lots of material, but
only time will tell what will come of this effort, We felt
that we may have helped to raise awareness of the races just a
little bit, but that lots of followup is needed.

Help us recurit new volunteers and secure some volunteer beds
From Friday evening through Sunday afternoon we need four or five Weasels per 3 to 4-hour shift to man our booth, pump the flesh, work the crowd, take names for our newletter distribution and to generally promote the Whistler Weasel Workers and our upcoming races.
If you can put in a shift or two, please call Lockie at 604 943 7094 or Peter at 604 932 1938. Come and help recurit some new local Weasels.
