The covetted Beer Tent palm tree with it's award winning coconut. Thanks to Terry S. for providing this and other decoarations to cheer up the splendid ambiance of the BT. This artifact was highly prized by many and suffered the indignity of being spirited way by the disreputable Varnet Beach Bums. Our lovely palm tree was last seen behind the equipment cans in a sadly deflated condition, having been sadly mistreated.

Looking from Frandula towrds XY Junction on the Franz's Womens Olympic downhill. The weather during the 2008 Canadian Championships was very snowy and there was a fair amount of low cloud. However, the Weasel crew managed to get a good track built and all of the major men's and women's reaces were successfully run.

The Ladies Olympic Downhill course on Whistler Mountain. Starting on Wildcard, the course traverses to Jimmy`s Joker where it crosses Hwy 86 and then swings back to Franz`s Run. At Frandula, the course crosses to run side-by-side with the tradiional Dave Murray downhill course, which has been moved north to make room for the new track. Both courses share a common finish.

Weaasel Workers labour in all sorts of weather. The 2008 Canadians were plagues with foggy and snowy weather. However, the races were run and things cleared up for the four World Cup races.

Members of Canada's Development (Acceleration) Team. From the left, Kelsey Serwa, Georgia Simmerling, Kelly McBroom and Kate Ryley. The Canadian Championships provides an opportunity for these ladies to train and race on the new Ladies Olympic Course. Let's make sure that opportunity reoccurs in 2009. It's an important step in developing Canada's next generation of world-class racers.
