Red
Mountain Racers - dating back
to the 1940's, the Red Mountain Ski Club has put more
athletes on the
Canadian National Alpine Ski Team then any other ski club in Canada.
The small mountain town of Rossland has a long history of
strong community support and involvement, and this has had a
huge effect on the success of Red Mountain ski racers,. To
date , Rossland has generated over 35 National Team and Development
Team members. For over 50 years, National Team
members have been returning to Rossland to coach and inspire the next
generation of Red Mountain Racers. Over 30 Olympic, World Cup
and World Championship medals have been won by Red Mountain Racers.

Wentworth
Ski Racing Club - The Wentworth Ski
Racing Club hopes to foster a love of skiing and the sport of ski
racing.
WSRC provides participants age six and up with an opportunity to
improve their basic skill by working
their way through a structured program. Located in Bedford NS, the club
operates five
programs: • Nancy Greene Husky Snow Stars • K1 Race
Team • Senior Race Team (FIS Program) • Coach In
Training • University Racing. Programs run each
weekend for 9 weekends starting on January 7,
2006. The Wentworth Ski Racing Club (WSRC) is a

Ski
Ward Race Team - a member of
the the
Eastern Massachusetts Buddy Werner League, the SWRT draws from
a number of ski areas northeast of Boston. The Ski
Ward Race Team is open to children and teenagers who are interested in
skiing competitively. The competition season consists of
eight races (Slalom and Giant Slalom) that take place on Sundays
starting in early January. The program includes regular
training and an end-of-season league championship. SWRT
events are run by volunteer race workers.
Modern
Ski Racing - brings you the
most comprehensive recreational racing resource. We're in the business
of making you ski faster. The mission of MODERN SKI RACING is to share
with recreational skiers
and racers the technical principles that make such upper level skiing
possible, and to make available a means for those recreational level
skiers to assimilate those technical skills into their own skiing.
Modern Ski Racing Team offered two unique
Race Camps geared
for both Recreational and Master level Racers at
Wolf
Mountain Ski Area, in Eden, Utah, host mountain to Modern Ski
Racing's permanent training centers.
Meadows
Race Team
- Mt. Hood's Official Ski Racing Team trains young

racers in the J1, J2, J3 and Mighty Mite age categories. MRT

racers compete in the Pacific Northwest Ski Association’s Divisional
Team "Buddy Werner" Championship for boys and girls.
Alpina Safety Systems
- safety net systems for ski runs and alpine ski

including A-Nets, B-Nets, Crowd Control Nets and a variety of other
safety equipment. Alpina has supplied safety net
systems
for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, to be held on Whistler Mountain.
These Alpina net systems were in use for the 2008 Telus
Whistler

Whistler
Adaptive Sports Program (
WASP) Whistler
Adaptive Sports Program (WASP) is a not-for-profit society that
provides year-around, recreational programs for people of all ages with
disabilities. The Whistler Weasel Workers salute the many
WASP volunteers who can be seen in action on Whistler daily during the
Winter months, and now during the Summer months, as well.
WASP has recently become involved in alpine ski racing and
snowboard racing, running the Adaptive Alpine Race Development Program.
Each April, WASP hosts the Annual Rotary Recreational GS for Disabled
Skiers.

Adaptive Snow Sports
(
VASS) runs
skiing and snowboarding
programs for persons with a disability at Grouse, Seymour and Cypress
Mountains. VASS makes the mountain experience accessible to
all. We welcome students of all ages and disabilities and
utilize adaptive
equipment and/or specialized teaching techniques to maximize a person’s
independence on the snow.

Disabled Skiers Association of BC
(
DSABC)
offers a number of ski programs
throughout British Columbia. Depending on the need in various Zone
areas,
DSABC runs a variety of alpine and nordic programs. The eight zones are
responsible for the learn-to-ski programs in their region. The
specifics of each program may differ according to the zone.
Vancouver
Island Society for Adaptive Snowsports (
VISAS) Based at
Mount Washington Alpine Resort, Courtenay, B.C. on Vancouver Island.,
we focus on providing Nationally Certified Snowsports Instruction to
physically or mentally challenged persons. We are here to
help you accent your abilities in a fun and encouraging environment.
Membership is open to disabled persons of all ages who wish
to ski a
group of trained volunteer instructors who offer quality individual
instruction accent on ability.
Silver
Star Adaptive Snow Sports (
SSASS) was founded
in 1992 as a local association of volunteer instructors who wished to
share their joy of snow sports by teaching people with disabilities. We
provide ski and snowboard lessons for students of all ages with a
variety of disabilities. Students range from complete
novices to advanced skiers/snowboarders and include residents from the
Thompson-Okanagan area, grade 6 and 7 students from local schools, as
well as ski area guests who come from all over the world.

Association for Disabled Skiing
(
CADS) is a
volunteer based organization having as its main objective, assisting
individuals with a disability to lead richer and fuller lives through
active participation in recreational and competitive snow skiing and
snowboarding. CADS is a national organization with 1,130 disabled
members and 1,900 able-bodied volunteers from all regions of Canada,
committed to the idea that

Action Sports

AAS)
Adaptive Action Sports creates programs and
opportunities for individuals with permanemt physical disabilities to
participate in 'action sports' and or the art and music scene that
follows them. Together with
Windell's Ski and Snowboard
Camp,
AAS sponsors a biannual Mt Hood-based Freestyle Session allowing the
addaptive
shredder an opportunity to ride with the Pros and to sharpen their
skills.

Disabled Alpine Racing Team
(
ODART)-
a not-
for-profit organization whose mission is to Educate, Promote and
Develop Elite Disabled Racing Athletes in .
Through
the assistance of sponsorships and donations, our members train,
compete and promote alpine ski racing locally, Provincially, Nationally
& Internationally. Our Team
consist of mono/hemi, amputee & blind ski race
members who have competed at both regional and national levels with
goals to compete at the world level. We are also active in developing a
junior program for the under 20 group.
Eastern
Townships Disabled Skiers Foundation -
The
E.T.D.S.F.
operates educational programs that
encourage physically disabled children and adults to discover new
abilities through alpine skiing and water sports. E.T.D.S.F. provides
trained volunteers who will assist these individuals to become
independent as skiers and in other aspects of their lives through
developing self-confidence, self-motivation, increased physical
strength and improved self-image while learning a lifelong sport/skill
to be enjoyed with family and friends. based in Knowlton, Quebec, our
winter programs are based at Owl,s Head Ski resort.
International
Paralympic Committee
(IPC) - The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is the global
governing body of the Paralympic Movement. The IPC organizes the Summer
and Winter Paralympic Games, and serves as the International Federation
for nine sports, for which it supervises and co-ordinates the World
Championships and other competitions. In 2009 the IPC World Cup comes
to Whistler Mountain. The Whistler Weasel Workers will be
there
to assist with the preparations.

Outdoor Education Center - The
Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) is a national leader in
outdoor adventure education serving all people, while ensuring that the
outdoors is accessible to those with special needs.
The BOEC was established in Breckenridge, Colorado, in 1976
as a non-profit educational organization to provide outdoor experiences
for people with disabilities and to train the instructors who work with
special populations. Ultimately, the BOEC strives to integrate
disability with ability, providing outdoor experiences to all.

The Able Management Group -
The AMG is a non-profit charity for disabled persons giving
them access and adaptive equipment so they can participate in
activities beyond their reach. AMG provides skiing, snowboarding, buggy
riding, motor biking, paragliding, mountain and hand cycling, fishing,
4 Wheel driving, camping and accommodation in Harrietville, Australia,
at the base of Mt Feathertop.

Canterbury is a non-profit organisation with a motto of: Safety, Fun,
and Learning. We encourage people with disabilities to learn to ski not

We supply adaptive equipment which ensures comfortable, confident

The club runs a Nancy Greene
program for ages 6 - 12 and participates in the Manitoba Alpine Ski
Series (MASS) for ages 11 and up.
Georgian
Peaks Club - From
humble beginnings in 1959, The Georgian Peaks Club has been
dedicated to racing excellence, and, despite of its relatively small
membership base, has achieved greater racing success than any other ski
area in Eastern Canada. A total of ten Georgian Peaks members have made
the National Alpine Ski Team at one time or another. This is more than
the combined total of all the other clubs in the area. Karen Stemmle,
Greg Grossmann, Todd Brooker, and Brian Stemmle are a few of the World
Cup caliber skiers who at very young ages learned how to carve a turn
on what are Ontario's longest and most challenging ski slopes.
